Are you still wondering what to get your friend or family member this holiday season? If they are working on being healthier or just like working out or cooking I’ve got you covered! Here are some ideas of things that I would really enjoy getting or gifting!
There are all kinds of situations in life that make living healthy very hard. But, no matter what, You’ve Got This!
This is the start of a new series that will share ideas, tips, and tricks on how to survive those situations that challenge us! First up is Thanksgiving!
If you have been a part of the My Beautiful Ideal community for a while you already know my story. Over the past few years, I have lost a lot of weight – 125 pounds (and still counting) to be exact. And during this process, I have shared recipes, workouts, tips, tricks, ideas, etc.
However, when I was brainstorming for this week’s post I thought why not tell the honest truths about losing weight that no one talks about? Everyone talks about the steps to take, the foods to eat, and the workouts to do. But, what really happens when you lose a lot of weight?
I have a new love…and her name is Aldi 🙂 I don’t know why it took me so long to realize this grocery store’s greatness, but I am now on the bandwagon and loving it!
Aldi is a great grocery store for anyone trying to eat healthier or just to save some money. Here’s why:
- Great produce
- Great meat
- Many organic options
- Reasonably priced
- Not too many temptations because the selection is limited
I was able to reduce my weekly grocery bill from about $65 to around $40 – that’s about $100 a month that I save just by shopping at Aldi!
So…I have started running…like officially! If you saw my Austin post you will know it all started in a hotel gym where I just “tried” to run. And, as it turns out I didn’t hate it.
When I came back from Austin I started to research what would be the best way to get into running. Especially, for someone who had never run before…0% running happening here! I mean, I had a joke that if I was running you should be too! The only reason I would be running is if there were zombies, a natural disaster, murderers…you can see where I am going here.
So, I basically started from scratch. With a little help from the internet and a friend 🙂 who runs half marathons, I got a plan together with the goal of running a 5K.
