Happy new year everyone! It’s been a fair few days since I have been able to write a new blog post. My weekly schedule went out the window for the end of 2016. The reason was because I was sick (I firmly believe this was 2016 giving me one last kick in the side – thank goodness it’s 2017 now!) I have a chronic illness that can flare up whenever it wants and it decided to flare just in time for the holidays! I am over it now and feeling but better. But, it made think what happens when you are on the path to a healthier lifestyle and you get sick?

I have decided that I like the term “Lifestyle Change.” I am not on a diet or a journey. I am trying to improve my life by implementing a lifestyle change. My lifestyle change just happens to involve the food I put in my mouth and a choice to do some exercise.
It has taken me over a year to feel like I have made a successful lifestyle change. With a lot of support, the use of trial and error, and plenty of optimism I feel like I have a long-term routine that I can keep up with.
