Happy New Year!!
With a new year there comes new goals and resolutions to make 2019 the best year yet. No matter whether you call them goals, aspirations, or resolutions it doesn’t matter. They allow you to work toward something and (hopefully) feel a sense of achievement this time next year.
I decided to share my resolutions with all of you this year so I have some accountability. I have some big ones to check off the list and I want to make sure I am able to get them done. As IΒ work my way through the resolutions I will make sure to report back – good or bad I will let you know how they go!
Resolution #1 – Run More
2018 was the year that I learned that I actually like to run. When I finished my 10K I was amazed that I could ever do something like that. So now I want to go further. My plan is to train for a 10-miler in March and a half marathon in May. I have my schedule ready to go – all I need to do now is to start running! If you want to know what my training schedule looks like I would be more than happy to share! Just shoot me a comment π
Resolution #2 – Restart Intermittent Fasting
In 2018 I added intermittent fasting to my nutrition plan. I got really good results with it – especially the fact that I was able to curb my evening snacking – so I want to get back to it.

During the holidays, I fell off the wagon a little bit with eating right. But, now I am back at it. I will need to fuel my body the right way if I plan to run all over the place!
Resolution #3 – Recommit to Ideal Protein Phase 1 and get to my goal weight

Just like I said above, the holidays were a minefield for me as far as eating and drinking. I had been on plan for so long I just really needed to enjoy myself for once. I think the break was worth it because I am back and more ready than ever to meet my goals! Ideal Protein Phase 1 here I come! I have about 30 pounds until I am at my goal weight…I have already lost over 125 pounds, I know I can do it π
Resolution #4 – Be more mindful
No matter what I am doing I want to be more mindful when I do it. For example – when I eat I want to enjoy it, not just shove the food in. When I go out with friends I want to be present and really enjoy the time. When I get a quiet moment, I want to enjoy the silence. Basically, anything that I do in 2019, I really want to experience it and be present in the moment.
Resolution #5 – Make my bed every day
This one might seem a little silly…but I really hate making my bed. I am not really sure why though. It only takes a couple extra minutes and I love the feeling when you get into a freshly made bed…I could have that feeling every night if I just stopped being lazy about it. So 2019 is the year that I will make my bed every day! π

So there you have it my 2019 New Year’s Resolutions. I know I can make these happen! If 2018 taught me anything, it taught me that I can do anything that I set my mind to!
What are your resolutions? What do you hope to accomplish in 2019? I would love to hear about them in the comments!

So many people overlook making their bed in the morning but it makes me feel so much better when my bed is made and it also makes the room look more clean! I ran my first half marathon last year and I have 3 more on the schedule for this year. My 2019 goals are over at https://runningmybestlife.com/forget-new-years-resolutions/.
