I am a huge drinker of water…with lemon, with lime, with some Crystal Light, or just plain. As long as its ice cold, I am drinking water constantly. Not only does the Ideal Protein diet suggest you drink 2L of water per day, but drinking water to help aid weight loss is a well-known practice. Instead of drinking sugary juices or soda…you are drinking what your body is mostly made of. 60% of the human body is water to be exact!
To keep up with my water drinking habit I needed a water bottle that would last. Enter the Nalgene 32oz wide mouth bottle. The bottles are easily cleaned, can hold up to being tossed around in a bag, are guaranteed not to leak, BPA free, and ice cubes will fit through the wide mouth. I drink 2-3 of these a day and my water requirement is met!
There are also a few Nalgene accessories that are must-haves in my book. The first is the lid. There are a few lid/cap options to choose from, but my favorite is the On The Fly Cap. These caps fit all regular Nalgene bottles, provide a spout to drink from, don’t leak, and are easy to clean. Sometimes with wide mouth bottles when you try to drink from them you may feel like you are going to wear your water. 🙂 The On The Fly Cap prevents this from happening.
Another accessory to consider is a bottle sleeve. The sleeves come in a variety of sizes and colors and help to insulate your bottle. Water will stay cold all day when using the sleeve. Also, the sleeves will help with condensation if you put ice in your bottle. One of my biggest pet peeves is when bottles, cups, etc sweat. You get a nice puddle of water to clean up while you drink your water. The sleeve takes care of that for you! No need to mop up your desk after you have your ice water!
Here is my well-used Nalgene with all the recommended accessories.
Nalgene definitely has not sponsored this post…I just love my water bottle so much I wanted to share it with all of you. Whenever someone asks me about my water bottle they get my small lecture about how Nalgene is the way to go!
I am sure there are other reusable bottles that are well worth owning. What is your go-to water bottle? Let me know in the comments below.
